ALLIANCE FOR LATINITAS

January 21
6:30-7:30pm
Judge Marquez Library
610 N. Yarbrough

If one of your New Year's resolutions is to get more involved in your community and make a difference, then we have the perfect project for you. Join a group of leaders who are committed to promoting the participation of Hispanic women in civic arenas. The Alliance for Latinitas was formed as a volunteer arm of Latinitas to bring women together to address issues unique to young Hispanas. This community of Latinas actively work to advance the well-being of Hispanic girls through leadership development, mentoring, volunteerism and philanthropy. We are currently recruiting committees members to assist with marketing, public relations, event planning, fundraising, membership and volunteer recruitment. The Alianza achieves this goal by organizing fundraising events and projects to provide educational scholarships and stipends for low-income girls to participate in Latinitas programs and attain their educational goals. We believe that by women coming together in a spirit of corroboration, we can make a difference in the lives of local girls! Find out how you can get involved, by attending our next meeting.
