Internship Applications Accepted

Latinitas, Inc. is seeking editorial, multimedia, public relations/ marketing, fundraising, graphic design, web design and educational outreach interns. Latinitas is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Latina youth. Through media, art, culture and technology, Latinitas strives to encourage and educate young Latinas to build confidence and succeed. The group executes its mission by publishing a bilingual digital magazine by and for Hispanic girls, facilitating after-school programs for middle school girls, hosting girl empowerment events, mentoring aspiring high-school writers and hosting innovative multimedia workshops in the community.

Interns are responsible for a wide variety of tasks and experience much of the process of putting together magazine issues, marketing strategies, publicity campaigns, fundraising projects or girl empowerment programs. Interns are needed to assist in developing content for LatinitasMagazine.org, accomplishing Latinitas marketing needs, publicizing its programs, developing fundraising initiatives, garnering community exposure and leading events aimed at empowering girls. This is a great opportunity to be published in a growing magazine or be an integral part of the development of a non-profit organization!

The internships are unpaid, but many interns arrange to receive academic and/or service learning credits for their work through their school.  We are very willing to coordinate with such programs. Interns must be willing to commit for 10 hours a week for an entire semester.  To apply, email your resume to intern@latinitasmagazine.org and submit an internship application online at www.LatinitasMagazine.org.
