Alliance for Latinitas Meeting

March 24
7:00pm
Jaxon's Restaurant
135 Airway
The Alliance will gather at Jaxon's on March 24th to debrief from the Dos Mundos fundraiser, discuss the Girl Empowerment Festival, plan our next mixer and brainstorm ways to support the Latinitas scholarship fund. The Alliance for Latinitas is a group of leaders who are committed to promoting the participation of Hispanic women in civic arenas. This is a new group of Latinas dedicated to helping empower Hispanic girls by raising community awareness and funds for Latinitas. The Alliance for Latinitas was formed as a volunteer arm of Latinitas to bring women together to address issues unique to young Hispanas. This community of Latinas actively work to advance the well-being of Hispanic girls through leadership development, mentoring, volunteerism, fundraising and philanthropy. The Alianza achieves this goal by organizing fundraising events and projects to provide educational scholarships and stipends for low-income girls to participate in Latinitas programs and attain their educational goals. We believe that by women coming together in a spirit of collaboration, we can make a difference in the lives of local girls! Find out how you can get involved by attending our next meeting.
