Mentors Wanted - Teen Reporter Program Aug. 23

Want to put your creative writing skills into practice?

Come out and mentor a teen reporter at the next Saturday camp. Volunteers are needed to assist high school girls in writing news stories, and ensuring that they experience all the benefits that the Latinitas Teen Reporter program has to offer. Latinitas hosts multimedia enrichment programs every 4^th Saturday of the month, where mentors are always needed.

Workshop Assistants - Saturday Camp Aug 23

Workshop assistants are needed for the Latinitas Video Idols Workshop. Lend a hand in creating video production activities for girls in the 4^th-8^th grades. Help in managing workshop assignments, handing out materials, and guiding girls through their creative process. The workshop will be held at La Fe Cultural Center on 721 S. Ochoa (Rear building - corner of Sixth & Florence. Latinitas hosts multimedia enrichment programs every 4^th Saturday of the month, where volunteers are always needed. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed.

Latinitas Dos Mundos Photo Workshop - Aug 9&10

Attention volunteers! Don’t miss out on being a part of the Dos Mundos photography project. As part of the bi-national project, Latinitas will be hosting photography workshops, and you can help! Help tutor young girls on photography skills, handing out materials, and arranging workshop activities. The workshop dates are as follows:

• August 9^th from 12:30-2pm for girls in grades 4-8^th and 2-4pm for girls in grades 9-12^th at the Judge Marquez Library.
• August 10^th from 11-12pm for girls in grades 9-12^th and 1-3pm for girls in grades 4-8th at the Main Public Library.
